Pure Joy International ministers to missionary women around the world for the purpose of helping our missionaries/missionary families stay on the field of service to which God has called them. Fifteen ladies from the US came to minister to 50 missionary women in Costa Rica from October 25-28, 2017.
Take Aways
Some truth I left the conference with:
- Begin your day with 5 praises from the day before. Fill your life with praise.
- Memorize Scripture every day. Allow it to fill your mind and heart.
- When you die to yourself by thinking like Christ, you replace your thoughts with his thoughts.
- Be careful not to miss answered prayer because it comes in a package that you didn't expect.
- Don't play God!
There were many more precious nuggets of truth, but these were some of my favorites.
These women have been a blessing to me during the past year. They are getting ready to head to three, maybe four, different countries in the next few weeks. God blessed me with an amazing community, after moving far away from friends and family. It hasn't been easy, but it's been beautiful! I am so thankful for these beautiful women that God brought into my life.
I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for all of the people who contributed to making this weekend extra special and meaningful. At every session and meal they had handmade gifts waiting for us, and special treats that are difficult to come by in Costa Rica. For one session, they had gathered gifts that were personal to each participant. They bought me this book by one of my favorite authors. I am overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and how these complete strangers have prayed, invested, and loved on me. It demonstrates God's love for me in a tangible way. And in turn, it gives me the desire to show his love to others in tangible ways.
